Our Mission

We have a passion for the women of Bayou View Baptist Church and the women in our surrounding communities.  It is our desire that all women understand that God has a plan for their lives and that it is for their good and His glory!

The purpose of the Women’s Ministry is to provide Christian fellowship and spiritual growth through bible studies, retreats and seminars and to promote, support and pray for State, North American and International Missions.

Women’s Bible Study

Ladies Bible study “James: Mercy Triumphs” begins January 24, 2012 at 6:30 pm at Bayou View Baptist Church. We will be meeting in the old sanctuary. Study books are available at Life-way. Please come and join us as we study God’s Word. A second meeting time for the same study is held on Thursday Morning in the same location at 0930. This current study will last 8 weeks.
James: Mercy Triumphs by Beth Moore is the story of Jesus’ own brother, who started out as a skeptic. See how one glimpse of the resurrected Savior turned an unbeliever into a disciple. Topics in this study include: joy, hardship, faith, reversal of fortunes for rich and poor, wisdom, gifts from above, single-mindedness, the dangers of the tongue, humility, and prayer

James forces us to face the implications of faith. Be inspired to put your faith into action in practical ways as you get to know both the man and the Book of James.
